Rules

WACRAL Awards are available to licensed amateurs for working, and to Short Wave Listeners for hearing, stations operated by members of WACRAL. The Awards are also available to those who are not members of WACRAL.

Confirmation of contacts

Contacts should be confirmed either by logging the date, call sign and WACRAL membership number or by exchanging QSL Cards.

The claim should take the form of a numerically numbered list giving for each contact, showing:

Fees

For each award from UK applicants, four second class stamps. For overseas applicants, four IRCs.

Log 8, 12 or 18 stations in different countries operated by WACRAL members

Heavenly Pilot Award

Log 5 stations operated by WACRAL members who are full-time Ministers, Pastors, Officers in the Church Army or Officers in the Salvation Army.

Special Event Station Awards

Log 6 Special Event Stations operated by WACRAL members. Our own GX3NJB and MX1CRA may only be used once.

CHOTA Awards

There is an award available for working any CHOTA (CHurches and CHapels On The Air) stations on the Saturday of the event.

Those claiming the award must contact eight (8) or more CHOTA stations. Copies of the logs must include date, time, frequency, call sign of station and operators name and call sign.
